As an intern at the Special Collection Department of the Univerity of Tennessee at Chattanooga Library, I authored a DACS (Describing Archives: A Content Standard)-compliant finding aid including scope and contents, historical, and biographical notes to describe the “Davis (Sandy) Sandlin photographs” collection, a collection of 170 historic photographs and other historical materials with UTC’s Special Collections. I conducted research and utilized the Getty Art & Architecture Thesaurus to accurately title and date each object within the collection, and utilized the archival management tool ArchivesSpace to create digital instances of each archival object.
